HOUSE FIRE a local Family Needs your help!
My Name is Samantha Dixon. Last night we heard a local family my children go to school with at St. Michaels here in Snohomish lost most of their possessions and a large part of their home to a house fire. They also lost their dog Gucci to this horrific tragedy. He, unfortunately, inhaled too much smoke, before he could get out. Four adults and three children have been displaced, Mario Alonso Cayetano. Rosalba Mendez Ojeda. Guadalupe Alonso Mendez. Mario Alonso Mendez. Valeria Alonso Mendez. Valentin Alonso Hernanndez. Isabel Cayetano Acevedo.
They are living in a nearby hotel but have very little salvageable clothing or shoes. Below are the details of the fire! I am hoping as a community we can come together and help ease the minds of these hard-working parents and their frightened children. This will provide some financial support for them, while they attempt to put their lives back together.
Thank you in Advance for your Support and Prayers!

[Monroe, WA] – Firefighters were dispatched at 11:01 am today to a residential structure fire at the 14000 block of Chain Lake Road in Monroe.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find a propane tank used for cooking that was on fire and located next to the home. The fire was spreading rapidly throughout the residence. Smoke and flames were blocking the front door access, so firefighters had to enter the home through the back to conduct their search and gain control of the fire.
There were 3 family members who were inside the home when the fire started. A citizen driving by saw the fire and started honking their horn which alerted the occupants. They saw that the fire was blocking their front door, and was able to use their secondary exit plan to get outside. All seven residents of the home were safely outside when firefighters arrived. The family’s dog was not able to make it outside. Firefighters found the dog when searching the home and extinguishing the fire. Once outside, firefighters tried to revive the dog but were not successful.
Firefighters worked quickly to gain control and extinguish the fire. They were able to remove the propane tank and cool it before there was more damage.
The home was severely damaged by the fire. The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. The damage caused by the fire displaced three adults and four kids
