House Eviction in the middle medical treatment

Hi my name is Christine, I am 43 years old. Over my life I have raised 4 children, 10years as a cub scout leader, 8years CFA, 10 years driving buses for a living, looking after my aging mum.

3 years ago i had a fall at work which lead to a work place injury and injuried my back.

Ive always been able to complete any challeges that rose in my life.

But this next challege is a very diffcult one emotional and finanically for myself and my family.

The house that we live in At the moment we rent and through the last 3 years have struggled getting the rent each week but was able to have it always paid week in and week out.

The owners of the house have not done the big maintence jobs that are dangerous around the property like water running down a wall where there is a 24 volt power point. Out the front we have a tree over hanging the 240 line coming into the property that has half thd tree snaped at christmas time and the brach overhanging has a crack in as well

They recently just replaced a down pipe on the property then wanted me to pay for the plumber which was $300 for downpipe that was orginal and had been rusted through.

So i was upset I applied for VCAT for them to do the maintenance that has been not done for the 3 years i have been here.

Their response was They sent an Eviction notice to vatcate the property by 19th May 2024.

My challege is now that i have that over my head I have medical treatment on the 15th April where i have to head into Geelong hostipal for a week for a ketmaine injection for my back treatment.

So all my finiances that a left after paying rent is to pay to get my tretment done.

Leaving my children trying to look for a house, pack everything up,

And us as a family trying to find bond money, 2 weeks rent money, professional cleaner and garder to clean current house so i can get the bond back (hopefully). Is all a very hard challege with no finances and little time to be out by.
