House Disaster Funds

Hi all,

My dear friend Jackie and her family were hit with some pretty terrible damage from these wild Ohio storms the last two nights (photos below). Their roof leaked in the kitchen from where their addition was put on as well as their basement leaked from holes in the walls. The city pipes eventually backed up into their basement creating a pool of water up to the first step. The flooding in the basement caused an insurmountable amount of damage to memorabilia from their wedding, items for the girls, etc. On top of all of this, the damage in the basement has caused additional damage to their hot water tank which now needs replaced as well. Unfortunately, due to some housing restrictions, their insurance will not cover any of the damage, leaving all of the costs out of pocket.

I am putting this Go Fund Me together to hopefully help relieve a little bit of the financial stress off her family at this time. I have known Jackie for many years now. She is one of the kindest and most giving souls I know. She has always dropped everything at a moment's notice to help out another human being. It doesn't matter whether she's known you her entire life or for a few moments. She will doing anything to help. I wanted to try to do the same for her as she has done for so many others including myself. The money will go directly to her and the family, every last cent, to help out with any of the out of pocket damage to their basement, water tank, etc. Every little bit counts, and I know her family would be so so grateful and appreciative!
