My Name Is Tim Cox and I’ve been working at a law firm for nearly 6 years, but recently was laid off. Since then, I’ve been using my business, Swindle and Brute, (a company I created making and designing clothes) to survive. My business kept food in the fridge and the rent paid. On December 2nd, I left home for about 15 minutes, and to my surprise, I got a call from my sister saying the house was on fire. The same house where I not only lived but made clothes for all of the orders I received from my business. All I could do was break down immediately. As I approached the house, firefighters were there putting out the fire and what I once knew to be home was no longer. I built my brand in that house, shirt by shirt and stitch by stitch. It was extremely heartbreaking to discover all the work that I’ve completed for different clients, as well as all of my machines, were burnt in the fire: sewing machine, embroidery machine, vinyl cutter, desktop computer, blank garments, silk screens used to print shirts, plus dozens and dozens of personal items all ruined. I’m currently asking for donations. My ultimate goal would be to reach $10,000 and any contribution would help. The money would help rebuild my business, as well as pay for storage, clothes, temporary housing, and help me find a new place. Thank you in advance for your support and any contribution!
