My name is S., and I live in Charlotte, NC, where last week CBP/ICE "agents" performed an indiscriminate, inhumane attack on the rights of undocumented migrants, naturalized citizens, and US-born citizens alike.
One of the families torn apart is Brittney "Brie" Harris-Gonzalez's. I am raising money to support the immediate needs of Brie and her two children, who are 6 and 7 years old. Her husband, Denis Jose Gonzalez Diaz (A#243-143-408), has been the primary breadwinner, making $20/h. Brie is the primary caretaker of the kids, working part-time at Pizza Hut for $10/h.
I've set the MINIMUM goal of $5000 to financially assist Brie for a period of three months so she can devote time to building community and reuniting her family. This covers monthly rent (1250) with approximately $100/weekly assistance for groceries and other necessities.

Brie and I met on Wednesday morning (11/19/2025) during my volunteer shift ushering children to school so their parents could remain safe indoors. At that point, Denis had been detained for approximately 24 hours with no contact. Here is a direct quote from her on that morning:
"My husband was picked up over 24 hours, almost 24 hours ago. I cannot locate his information whatsoever, not even by his A number, not even by his name, his date of birth, none of that. I can't access any of that. And I was told yesterday, by an officer that works at Tyvola Centre Drive, that I would not be able to find any information on my husband, that there was nothing to find. That right there tells me that they're doing something totally illegal.
What if my husband doesn't make it out of this? How many immigrants have died in the custody of Border Patrol and ICE? How many people were sent to concentration camps, just like the Nazis, and not come out? What if that's my husband?"
That day, we were fortunately able to locate Denis, who was unfortunately being transported to (and remains, as of 11/25/2025, in) a detention center in Georgia. Since, we have been working together to secure reliable legal counsel, establish professional mental heath care, and locate and connect with local organizations responding to the "Charlotte's Web" Crisis.
Our financial support does more than sustain Brie's family in the immediate. It bolsters the morale of a remarkably resilient woman who is determined to share her experience and help others.

fracturing communities to isolate their most vulnerable people.
Your contribution represents a refusal to let the bad guys win.
Thank you, friends/Gracias, amigos!
