On Saturday, March 30th at 10:50p the Houghton Family of five were on their way to spend spring break with family in Orange County when they ran out of gas forcing them onto the inside shoulder of the 405 freeway. They called 911, buckled up and waited for the police to arrive. They were hit by a truck at very high speed and Bryce Houghton (13 years old) did not survive.
Gael (mom) received surgery for a shattered pelvis. Michael (father) was treated gash on the back of his area and will require further surgery on his eye. Carissa and Mason were treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.
The family is heartbroken they have shared their last laugh with Bryce but believe strongly He is in heaven with his Lord Jesus.
It's hard to estimate all of the needs they will have in the coming days and weeks
* A new vehicle
* Medical bills, the family was taken to 3 hospitals the night of the accident.
* Funeral arrangements for Bryce
Every prayer matters. Every gift, no matter how small, is important. Thank you for serving a family who has served our community so well.
