On Thursday, August 18th, our father (Bill Balam Jr) underwent kidney stone removal surgery. Unfortunately, the doctor injured him during this procedure. After midnight emergency surgery, Dad is fighting for his life. The past week has been filled with many small victories, and Dad is showing us just how strong he is. We have so many friends and family praying for him and would be forever grateful if you would join us. Please pray for strength and healing for Bill Balam Jr. at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center up in Lebanon, NH.

Our mother (Vivian) is staying by his side, and family members are there every day, staying as long as they can before various responsibilities take them back home. The hotels are very busy this time of year as students arrive to attend Dartmouth College, but we were blessed to have booked an extended stay just one mile away.

Doctors are telling us that my father could be in the hospital - 1 -1/2 hours from home - for 2 to 3 months. The goal of $10,000 would cover two months of meals and lodging.

I have been on the Go Fund Me site many times but never imagined I would be setting up this page. I am humbled daily by the generosity of my family, friends, and so many people I have never met.
