Hotel Housekeepers Need Your Support

To our dear Friends and past Guests of The TWIST, Palm Springs, As I'm sure you're all aware, in light of COVID-19, effective  March 24, 2020 the City of Palm Springs issued an ordinence closing all hotels and vacation  rentals until further notice. This has caused the unpaid layoff of all our beloved housekeeping staff, including myself and my partner Darryl.  Unlike some people, our team of housekeepers can not work from home. They are real people with real bills, mother's with small children and some with serious medical concerns. They are an essential part of what makes The TWIST The TWIST.  We have one united goal with this fundraiser and that is to give our staff some relief and hope for the future during this crisis. As "Independent Contractors" we  are not eligible for Unemployment and with the "Shelter In Place" ordinence, it makes it virtually impossible to find any other work.  Almost all of our cleaners have small children home from school due to the Corona Virus. Who can afford childcare with no money coming in for 2 months or longer? Please join Darryl and myself in caring for the livelihood and well-being of our hospitality professionals. They need your help at this critical time. Protecting them now helps ensure that they will be there in the future when we welcome you back to The TWIST.  100% of the proceeds raised will go directly toward supporting these amazing people.
