Our Grass Lake High School civics teacher, Calvin Hoard, has been hospitalized in the ICU immediately after undergoing life-saving surgery. He was supposed to return to his family, however due to severe surgical complications he has been hospitalized in a medically induced coma since July 1st. Mr. Hoard has a wife, Erin Hoard, and a young child whom he was looking forward to spending the summer with.  Myself, as well as many other of his students, are trying extremely hard to help his family receive aid during this very difficult time.
