Hi everyone. Looking to raise funds for this sweet boy who I just happened to come across yesterday morning. I was driving on Santa Fe on my way to a vet appointment with one of my own cats when I was lucky enough to just barely see something in the road ahead, ahead of the cars in front of me and as I got closer, I saw this little guy darting around in the road. When I pulled over, he had stopped and was resting in the southbound lanes and I really think it was divine intervention that no traffic was in those lanes at that moment. I pulled over and walked towards him and after he darted onto the side of the road and came up against a fence there, he let me pick him up to take him for help. Dr. Luappe at Valley Animal Hospital was kind enough to agree to see him and he is being hospitalized at Valley now, with surgery planned for tomorrow. He has a degloving injury to his jaw and needs to have the skin there reattached. He also is very anemic, likely from parasites or fleas Dr. Luappe thinks. Currently, his estimate is $1700, so I am looking for any help I can get to put towards this bill as this certainly was a surprise expense that I was not expecting, to say the least. Any help with covering this bill would be so, so appreciated and I wouldn’t be able to thank you all enough for your support in helping this very good boy.
