Update: Unfortunately, Hugos injuries were too severe. We had to let him go today at approximately 10am November 8th. My sweet boy has only brought joy to the lives of those who've known him. I am deeply heartbroken from the loss, but I know he is better now that he isn't suffering. I'm going to miss him so much.

He's only 7 years old, but he's experiencing liver failure due to eating a Sago Palm seed. The Sago Palm is extremely toxic to dogs. We would greatly appreciate any donations for further testing and hospitalization.

I am in complete shock and disbelief how this plant caused so much damage. We don't have this plant in our own yard, which makes us question when or where he was able to eat a seed from it. His health is declining, and we want Hugo to have a continued long life. It all feels too soon. Any and all help is extremely appreciated.
