My father has been hospitalized since the beginning of January 2020. He didn’t inform us (his kids) about his condition prior to this date, as he feels that “he can still manage” it. We are extremely devastated with all of this. In the month of January, he underwent several tests and ultimately was ruled out to have Coronary Artery Disease, with 3 blockages in his heart. This was triggered by several factors, but mainly due to diabetes and high blood pressure. Furthermore, he has chronic kidney failure, pneumonia (recovering), urinary tract infection and some other disease that is too private to mention. He never mentioned to us that he had all of those, prior to his confinement. However, we do not want to dwell on this fact, but we would do our best to save him and overcome this obstacle.
He successfully overcame his Angioplasty procedure, with God’s grace. Having been confined for 3 weeks, with all his maintenance medication, hospital procedures, tests and doctor’s fees, this has cost us a million pesos (and counting). We were able to pay for the hospital bills that cost us more than a million peso because of the help of our friends, family and extended families.
However, after being out of the hospital for a week, he was rushed again to the ER because of a sharp pain in his right side. After several days, he had hypoglycemia and high blood pressure that made him unable to speak nor move with any energy. With him having water in his lungs, he is not advised to stay in a ward because of the risks involved. As of this writing, he is still at the hospital. We thought that after the heart procedure, it will all be better, but the battle is still ongoing. He still has excess water in his lungs and his stomach (became bigger) thereby needing oxygen to assist his breathing. The doctors are telling us that if his creatinine will still stay high, he may have to undergo dialysis.
We haven’t recovered financially and are struggling to pay the current bills, medicines and daily expenses. We wouldn't give up until the very end. We will continue to keep fighting for our beloved father no matter what it takes, as that's what we normally do for our loved ones. We will keep the faith.
We all know that there are inevitable things in life, but that doesn't mean that we should just give up on it.
We fervently ask for your prayers, love, support and financial assistance as our funds are very much depleted. We want to save our father. We love him dearly.
May God bless you.
