Hey Folks my name is Ahsoka Wallace (they/them)

I have been active in the Hospitality industry for over ten years, working across the currently and currently based in London.

Beyond bartending, I am a passionate advocate for equity, diversity and inclusion within hospitality.

I have worked to create a more inclusive and supportive industry. I often post thought-provoking drinks insights, especially from a neurodiversity perspective. I have also hosted a number of panel and takeovers in order to bring awareness to Neurodiversity in Hospitality.

I am aiming to create a Neurodiversity hospitality video series where I interview various Neurodivergent individuals from different backgrounds who work in the hospitality industry.

The idea: To create a video series highlighting Neurodiversity within hospitality. The video will help showcase Neurodivergent individuals stories and experiences working within hospitality.

The aim: To create wider awareness and prompt discussions through the use of regular content on social media. The hope is that it will bring more attention to the barriers that Neurodivergent individuals can face within the industry and how they can find ways to make reasonable adjustments. Sharing individuals stories and lived experience is a great way to learn and educate.

The format: I will go to the individuals workplaces, starting with bars and film interview segments of 15 minutes, along with a sharing a drink, such as a dram of Whisky or non alcoholic alternatives during the conversation . These will then be uploaded onto social media. This will crate a natural working environment that will be relatable to those who work in hospitality and promote educational content using of spirits.

What’s needed: Funding to get the project off the ground. This includes technical equipment, software, travel and the time needed to pull everything together. Any support would be a massive help and much appreciated.
