Hospital Treatment for Gaza Victims
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jason, and I am a Palestinian living in Perth, Australia.
My friend Mohamed lives in Gaza. He is a husband and a father. We chat over various social media apps and often over video calls. We both share a dream of a future for Gaza and the Palestinian people, where Palestinians have access to the same opportunities in life as everyone else.
Due to recent airstrikes by the Israeli military in July and August, Mohamed has suffered wounds and burns to his leg from hot shrapnel from collateral damage. Gaza has an unemployment rate of over 50%, and many can't afford hospital costs, let alone basic living costs.

Mohamed cannot work due to his injury nor pay for treatment costs at the hospital. There is no Medicare or Centrelink in Gaza like there is in Australia. So I have started this GoFundMe to help raise the money to support Mohamed in getting the treatment he needs to recover so that he may be able to work and support his family.

I often reflect on the privileges and rights I have living in Australia. I feel tremendous guilt if I don't use the opportunities that many Australians take for granted to help alleviate the suffering of friends and family in Gaza and the disenfranchised territories of the West Bank.
