Update 12/17/23: Dear friends, it is with the heaviest of hearts that I share the tragic news that our beloved Tony passed away unexpectedly yesterday, December 16th. He was recovering, stable and conscious earlier in the day and the doctors still do not know why this happened. We are devastated and in utter disbelief. He leaves behind his 3 young sons, a mother, sisters and brothers who loved him dearly and so many friends.
If you are able, I ask that you consider helping his mother, Veronica, with this exorbitant medical bill she’s been left with in the wake of medical negligence that lead to this tragedy. While it won’t bring Tony back, it will ease the burden as she and his family must make plans to lay our dear friend, son and brother to rest.
RIP, Tony. We love you.

Hi, my name is Lauren. In Nyeri, Kenya lives an incredible mother to all, Veronica Mumbi, who has taken in, raised, housed, schooled, loved and adopted dozens of orphaned and abused children at the Belwop Children’s Rescue Centre for the last 15+ years.
Now, she is asking for help for her eldest son, Tony.
Tony is a wonderful father and dear friend.
Today he is in critical condition for a blood infection he got while undergoing a minor surgery recently. Veronica (“Mum” to all who know her well) has asked for donations to help pay down his exorbitant medical bills (which I’ve personally seen copies of but for privacy will refrain from posting here) which is now in excess of $36k.
If you can find it in your heart to give, any and every little bit helps. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all friends of Belwop, past, present and future. This is a Christmas gift to the woman who has given her whole life to the most vulnerable among us.
