Veterinary Expenses for Juju Blu (Rest In Peace)

Dear Supporters,

With your help we have been able to raise $3,515 towards the $5000 in veterinary expenses Maija and her family incurred recently while trying to save the life of their beloved puppy Juju Blue, who sadly had to be humanely euthanized this morning.

The remaining $1500 in medical debt is a significant burden.

If you are able, please join me in rallying around this family and donating a little bit more, so that we can give Maija and her family the gift of not having to worry about payment plans and debt management while they are grieving the loss of their beloved family member.

Dear supporters, thank you all so much for your outpouring of support during the past 20 hours.

Sadly, Juju did not respond to the additional care that you helped support, and had to be humanely euthanized this morning, in the loving company of Maija and her family.

Maija has so appreciated this circling of community and your generosity, which has greatly eased her financial burden and buoyed her spirit.

This fundraiser is to support the hospital care that Maija García's newest family member,  Juju the Puppy, needs to have the best chance of recovering from a bad case of Canine Parvovirus. 

Juju has already been brought to the emergency room three times this week, and is on his way to the hospital again as I write this. 

Maija and her family adopted Juju during the pandemic, and Juju has already brought great joy to their lives.

Juju is very sick, and the cost of hospitalization is financially a huge burden, but would give Juju his fullest chance of recovery.

I have been blessed to know Maija for several years now, and am constantly in awe of the joy and presence and passion she brings to her life and work, and want to help in the effort to give the best fighting chance for a long and full life to this wonderful creature, who Maija has fallen deeply in love with, and who has already brought boundless  joy, passion and presence to her life.
