Hospital Bills for Andre

On November 17th Andre was driving home. He was going 30mph in a 30mph zone. A car came up behind him going at a very fast rate of speed (Andre thought about 50+mph). Andre switched from the left lane to the right lane and the car was right behind him. The car got in the left lane and side swiped him.  Andre had his window down and he yelled "pull over - I want your proof of insurance." The other car's window's were tinted so Andre couldn’t see what was happening and the car had stopped ahead of him. All of sudden the other driver rolled his window down shot at Andre - four bullets hitting his car and one hit Andre the through the window where he was rushed to the hospital via ambulance.

He sustained multiple severe injuries - broken ribs, a punctured lung and a gunshot wound along with damage to his heart. The bullet entered through back of the right shoulder and ending up lodged in the superior vena cava, (one of the two veins that lead directly to the heart).  Extensive life saving surgery was required to remove the bullet and repair the damage to his heart. He was in the hospital for a week and spent several nights in the ICU.

We appreciate any help that we can get for Andre's medical expenses as there was no active health insurance at the time of the incident which was unknown to Andre until after the fact (he thought his health insurance carried over from prior year since he didn’t require any changes). Andre is a really great person and just amazing in every way. He’s a butcher and is so passionate about his work and having an outstanding work ethic. Everything he does, he does whole-heartily. He loves to workout and stay active as much as he possibly can, he loves the outdoors, traveling and hiking. He’s an amazing cat dad to his three cats and has the hugest heart. He loves his family and friends more than anything. He’s so funny and smart and just a great person.
