Hospital Bills Paid for Dad (XMAS Present)

The two that have always given back, meeting for the first time in working for the  Special Olympics, now need help. I am asking for yours so I can gift them some relief this Christmas. Any little bit helps, even a dollar. Any extra will go into my Dads cancer foundation that he is starting, "Cancer Sucks" to give support to families  going through the hardship of cancer.

The video below is when my Dad surprised me on my birthday after beating cancer. I was unable to be there for his chemo, time I will never get back. But I can do this, at least try to help with his medical bills... and i'm asking for your help. This is our story.

Two beautiful people who met while working and coaching for the Special Olympics, got together and created a beautiful family. They have worked hard to give their family a life better than their own, and I want to give back. Here's why.

While my mother worked in the hospital, my father started his own business teaching kids to drive. Unfortunately, we took a hit when the first accountant stole more than 80,000 dollars, and to this day have not gotten it back. My dad was able to make it through, when the worse that could happen, happened. Our new accountant, too, stole money from our family business.

To make it through, my parents made the hard decision to sell the house that my Dad built in the mountains, sell our current home, and used the savings they had put away for my brothers and I's college to survive the second hit.

While they both worked overtime, my parents still did everything to create an unconditional love in our family, and the light of love always shines through the darkest depths. Its what keeps life full of happiness, against all odds.

When my Dad got diagnosed with stage 4B cancer and a 20% chance to live, it was the worst hit of all; dimming the light that we try to shine each day. I've seen my mom cry twice in my life... once when her mother died and the second time when my father got diagnosed.  I resorted to the bottle and had to leave for treatment while my father fought for his life.

Nothing will ever give me that time back, but watching my Dad fight and win has given me the strength to fight for my own life in sobriety. As of now, we have both won the battle and with the strength of love behind us we continue to fight.

We contracted and beat the coronavirus, and my fathers business is still making it through even after having to be shut down when the pandemic hit.

Although we made it this far, the medical bills continue to pile up making it hard to pay rent and get the things needed to stay healthy including vitamins and nourishing food. Many bills that have been "normal" to pay have been sent to collections and causing an enormous amount of strain and suffering on our family.

So we can continue helping others, I am asking for your help. If money is something you cannot give, prayers and positive thoughts is something I am asking for as well.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!
