Hi my name is Maria Alexis. My husband Greg and I have been trying to conceive for 4 years now. We first got pregnant in 2019 with our first baby which ended in a miscarriage at 6 weeks. In the end of 2020 I did two rounds of Clomid and injections to help with my infertility which were both unsuccessful. In the beginning of 2021 I decided I no longer wanted to try and to let it happen naturally. In April 2021 I found out I was pregnant with our rainbow baby. At our first ultrasound appointment, baby had no heartbeat. I took some medications to help my uterus contract and I delivered our baby at home in May 2021. In July 2021, I found out I was pregnant again. Baby was healthy, growing and had a strong heartbeat up until 16 weeks. I delivered our son at 16 weeks weighing 1 lb 1 oz and was 4.5 inches long on October 22, 2021 at 4:24pm. We named him Abraham. It has been one of the toughest months of my life. Grieving has not been easy. This year alone has been such a rollercoaster and it’s just one thing after another and we can’t seem to catch a break.

I hate to ask for help, but we are drowning in medical bills from our second miscarriage and now hospital bills from delivering our son. I also had to have an emergency DNC after a 4.5 hour natural labor because I could not deliver my placenta. We spent our first wedding anniversary (10.10.2021) moving into our new and bigger apartment so we could have a nursery and now Abe’s nursery is full of what if’s and what could’ve been. We’ve spent most of our savings moving here. All these medical bills are adding up. Anything truly helps as I don’t know where to turn to from here and asking for help isn’t like me at all so to have to ask this way truly shows we’re struggling.
