Hello everyone...Let me start by thanking everyone for all of your kindness over the past weeks. You never know the kind of support system you have until things go sideways. Now that Zara seems to be heading in the right direction, I've gotten the first estimate from the hospital and it's looking like this is going to be well over $15k for her surgery and recovery.

When I had to make the decision to put her down or go ahead with surgery, I moved forward knowing that it was going to be expensive but also knowing that I just couldn't give up on her. We would find a way to pay for it all.

I've never asked for money like this before but this horse is my lifelong dream and I just know that I wasn't only meant to have her for 4 months. I know we have a long road of recovery ahead of us, but I'm in it for the long haul to get her back to her perfect healthy self. Update. 01/03/2023- Well the great news is that she is progressing in the right direction!! 3 more poops today already! Doc says she's officially off all of her fluids and meds except 1 pain med and her antibiotic. She does still have some odd blood work and some swelling in her nose they think from the tubes, but she's been anything but a normal case so she's trying not to be too worried. SO many of you have prayed for her, I just no she's gonna pull through this and make a full recovery. This horse community we've found is more than anything I could have asked for in a support system and the friendships I've made are a Godsend. Bless you all❤️ and to all my friends and family, thank you too for understanding how important she is to me and allowing me to be a "little distracted"  this New Year. I love you all! Thank you!!!
