We are looking forward to a wonderful reunion to celebrate Rebecca's (Becky's) life. If you able to attend, try to wear something purple to honor Becky's favorite color. If you are unable to come, please send a written or video greeting to [email redacted] "ATTN Janice". (GoFundMe does not allow sharing of emails but you can contact me through this page and I will send the information to Janice. - Ed)
Send flowers to the church or donate to support the family with end of life expenses through this page.
**UPDATE**
Rebecca Crane lived in a hospice adult care home for a few weeks before succumbing to her illness. She left us early morning, December 30. We were blessed to be able to spend a joyful Christmas Eve with her before the very end.
We appreciate all your thoughtful support and donations. I will leave this GoFundMe fundraiser up through the end of February. Information about Becky's Celebration of Life has been posted above.
**END UPDATE**
Rebecca Crane is my Aunt Becky. She was a nurse for over 40 years and has been a lifelong servant of God. She was never married and had no children but Becky is like a second mom to me. I joke that she's seen more of me than I have! Rebecca had bouts of cancer in the 1999 and 2013, and will be leaving us soon not due to cancer but the radiation damage from the previous treatments. She is aware that she has an upcoming appointment with God and we are working with her as much as possible for end of life care and funeral plans.
Rebecca is currently in a foster hospice home in Beaverton, Oregon. She and my mom, Lorene, moved to Oregon to be closer to our family. Becky only lived in her new home for one day before being taken to the hospital. We are trying our best to help her through this time by bringing her Marionberry pie and pictures of Christmas lights. Her spirits are about as good as could be hoped for considering the situation.
I created this GoFundMe to offer the countless people whose lives Rebecca has touched an opportunity to help her in her final days. End of life care costs have skyrocketed since the pandemic and we, her family, are struggling to cover the costs.
Please consider making a donation of any size to help meet Rebecca's needs during this difficult time. Thank you.
