Hospice Care for Kay Kelly

Out of respect for my Mother's wishes, I have kept her condition a private family matter. The time has come to ask for help. Our Mom, Kay Kelly, is fighting for her life. She has stage 4 cancer throughout her body, and her condition is deteriorating rapidly. Despite her inability to feed herself, walk or perform other basic functions on her own, her vital signs are relatively strong, and there is a hope that she can be treated for long enough to continue her chemotherapy treatments. It is a glimmer of hope, but is what we are holding onto. If she does not remain strong enough, this will be to keep her comfortable and give her the peace and dignity she deserves. She now requires specialized care in the form of around the clock, assisted living hospice. Kay's daughter Denise has worked tirelessly to find the best place for her 24 hour care. Insurance (even Medicare or Medicaid) does not cover the specific attention and staff she needs. The cost is enormous; Denise and I have no problem emptying our savings for this cause, but it will hardly make a debt in the monthly bill. Those who know our family know the devastation we are feeling. We all love Mom so much; anybody who knows Kay Kelly loves her as well. We thank you in advance for your generosity. If you cannot donate, believe me, we understand. If you can give even a very small amount, we appreciate that every dollar counts. It is uncomfortable to ask for money, but I would do anything for my Mom. Rest assured, every penny will be accounted for and used appropriately.
