Hortencia "Nani" Gonzales, Covid 19
Donation protected
SUBJECT: Donations for Pre-planning of funeral arrangements
Dear Family and Friends,
My grandma, Nani, is a fighter in the most positive way. Back in June she tested positive for COVID and survived like the warrior that she is. Unfortunately, this week she was placed at Santa Rosa Hospital, ICU. Once again, she is fighting for her life due to COVID complications; she now has blood clots in her lungs and legs.
Since the pandemic started back in March we have only been able to see and celebrate her through the reflections of a window. Even now, my Mother and her three other sisters are not allowed to be with her. We worry about her mental state as she once again battles through this alone.
She has been residing at Mystic Park Nursing home since 2015 and she enjoys her time there. She is a social butterfly and is always creating bracelets and jewelry for others. She loves to play bingo and she ALWAYS wins! She has a huge sweet tooth and always wants candy of some kind. She loves Mariachi music and especially during this time she loves to listen to the music even if it is only through an iPhone speaker and window. She loves her crossword puzzles and completed them every day.
My Nani is a simple person and has never had much. That being said, she does not have a pre-prepared funeral arrangement. For this reason, the family is reaching out and accepting donations. We understand that this is unimaginable times, filled with heartbreak and hardship for many; and we truly appreciate your kindness. She is the sweetest Mother and Grandma to all her children, nieces, and nephews and we love her so.
We pray that Nani once again defeats this virus. But, this COVID season has brought us to the reality that we need to be prepared. We wish you and your family, friends, and loved ones good health always. Thank you for your support and prayers at this time. Please share the link if you can.
Respectfully,
Celeste
