The sunset pics were about 15 minutes before it happened. April is a good, good girl. Still don't know what she saw, but most likely a zooming lizard crossed our path. We turned to lope back up the fenceline, and she quite suddenly halted, grinding in the dirt, swung right fast, and I went left, not prepared. I flew off and apparently broke my fall with my left wrist which hit a rock. I dislocated and snapped my radius. I'm guessing a Lizard ran out in front of us, they are everywhere right now and make me jump when I'm out walking my dog.

I got up, feeling fine ready to get back on as she waited for me and thought my wrist hurts. I looked down... oh boy, that doesn't look right.

I had to be taken to the hospital by helicopter as I live in a very remote, wide-open spaces ranch and winery country. I do not have insurance, was going to look into it in September, never imagining this would happen. I am also needing to relocate where I live, so that is added stress on top of this. I only planned on staying where I am for a year to get back on my feet and recover from an extremely toxic narcissistic relationship which damaged me emotionally and financially.
