We're thrilled to introduce Horrorshow Productions, a new non-profit community theatre group located in the heart of Toronto's downtown core. Our objective is simple: to bring captivating, thought-provoking, and unforgettable theatrical experiences to our city, starting with our inaugural production of CABARET.

CABARET isn't just any musical; it's a timeless masterpiece that delves into themes of love, freedom, and the human spirit against the backdrop of 1930s Berlin. With its dynamic characters, electrifying music, and poignant themes, CABARET promises to captivate audiences and ignite conversations about what it means to be a human during a time of crisis.

We have assembled a team of over 40 passionate creators who are eager to bring CABARET to life on stage. From actors and musicians to lighting designers and stage managers, each member of our team is committed to making this production a success. Integral to our mission, we're doing something a bit out of the ordinary for non-profit community theatre – we're providing honorariums to thank the entire team for their incredible contributions and to cover travel, food and other expenses incurred during participation.

But here's the reality check: producing a show of this scale with the mission to provide honorariums to all comes with significant costs. From securing the rights to the show and renting a venue to building sets, creating costumes, renting equipment and providing honorariums, the costs add up fast. We're facing over $50,000 in expenses (see the budget breakdown below), and we need your support to cover 30% of those costs through donations.

Your contributions, no matter the size, will play a vital role in supporting our team and ensuring that CABARET comes to life on stage. We want to increase the production value, ensure that everyone on stage and behind-the-scenes is supported with honorariums, and provide $19 Community Access tickets for every show. Our campaign is not just about funding a production; it's about investing in the arts and supporting local talent.
