Help a Mother of Four Get Home to Oregon After an Unimaginable Tragedy

Sometimes life changes in an instant, and no family should ever have to experience the kind of heartbreak this family is facing.

On the night of October 31, 2026, a devastating shooting in Plains, Montana, took the lives of two beloved family members and left another person seriously injured.

Among those affected is my best friend who was injured, her husband and a beloved grandmother in this tragedy. Beyond the unimaginable grief of losing loved ones, she is now facing the reality of navigating this heartbreak while caring for her four young children: a 6-year-old son, a 4-year- old daughter, an almost 2-year-old daughter, and an almost 1-year-old son.

Four little children who need their mama now more than ever.

In the aftermath of this tragedy, she has made the incredibly difficult decision to leave Montana and return home to Oregon with her children. She wants to start over somewhere familiar, closer to support, and somewhere she can begin putting the pieces of her life back together.

She is preparing to leave behind nearly everything she has built, taking only the necessities and the memories she will carry with her.

The goal of this fundraiser is to help take some of the immediate financial pressure off her shoulders so she can focus on what matters most: grieving, caring for her babies, and getting them safely home.

Donations will go toward:

- Emergency transportation and travel expenses to Oregon.

- Temporary lodging and food during the transition.

- Housing costs, deposits, and getting a new home established.

- Clothing, diapers, baby supplies, and everyday necessities for four young children.

- Basic household essentials and anything else needed to begin rebuilding.

- Unexpected expenses that come with having to start over so suddenly.

No mother should have to figure out how to rebuild an entire life while grieving such tremendous loss.
