On March 8th our lives suddenly turned upside down. My dad and one of his roommates were shot multiple times. My dad's roommate unfortunately did not survive. My dad has been transferred to OHSU due to the extent of his injuries.

At this point he has undergone one surgery thus far. This was to remove the bullet from his left hip. They placed a plate and screws. They are leaving the breathing tube and suctioning in place due to the swelling and bleeding from the facial gunshot wound. We will be meeting with plastic surgeons regarding that trauma later. The second bullet went in through the right jaw and out through the left side, clearly breaking the jaw.

The story gets even better. My dad started his new job about one month ago, therefore he does not have insurance. The medical bills are wracking up quickly and will continue to do so. The money will also go to helping pay for bills as he does not have short term or long term disability because of his new job or PTO. I never ask for help and I am on my knees begging if at all possible to help our Dad during this difficult time. Thank you in advance.
