Educational Garden for Our School

We are Horizon Charter School of Tampa, a K-8 school of just around 300 students.  We recently moved to a new building with outdoor areas that could be utilized for educational gardens for our students to learn many lessons and valuable skills.  Of course, finding the funding for building a garden area like this is not always so easy.  There are grants to apply for, and we have, but there is never a guarantee of being awarded the grants you apply for.  So we have decided to attemp to turn to GoFundMe as a way to raise money for our educational outdoor garden area.  
The ultimate goal of this area would be to utilize an area of our outdoor space to create a Florida Native Plant area that could teach our students about native plants, and their importance to the ecosystems of Florida, and their importance as water conserving landscape plants, and in attracting native wildlife such as birds and insects like butterflies.
This area would teach the students gardening skills as well as their local environment.  We would need to design and build raised beds, a mulched or shell walkway and possibly a covered area for holding classes in.  There are many lessons that can be taught and learned in all subject areas from gardening, and we are looking to utilize this activity for our students for many years.
