Hopping To A New Place!!!
UPDATE: holy shit, y'all. thanks so much. really. i'm moved that this happened as quickly as it did and that a bunch of people were willing to help out. ;; golly. i don't know what more to say except that this is definitely a big load off my mind w/rt the next few weeks and the short term future generally speaking and that i feel indebted to the community for the help i've received. you've all been incredible and i hope to pay that back someday, somehow.
victory achieved. going to leave this up and update the goal to 1k just to give it somewhere to go; as previously stated, extra is going to go towards more furnishings/housewares/getting set up/unanticipated costs/paying back my girlfriend's loan/etc etc etc. however, this would be icing on the cake. to be clear, i consider the fundraiser a complete success as it stands right now. the goal was 500, and we made the goal. i'm incredibly grateful.

Hello, I'm The Rabbit, and I'm a rabbit. If you're seeing this page, you probably know at least a little about me, and if you don't, here's the story: I'm a 27 year old trans woman currently couchsurfing in between my last housing situation and my next. It's been a difficult thing to find an apartment since my credit is poor and I don't currently have an income, but with the generous help of my girlfriend and others I've been able to make it through to the present, get a storage unit to keep my things in, and, finally, secure low income housing in the form of a pretty nice studio that I'm excited to get established in.
Unfortunately there are more costs ahead, including a u-haul to move my things from the aforementioned storage unit to my new place, a power drill to reassemble my bed with, kitchen supplies (my studio has two burners and a microwave but that's it) and generally staying afloat while I look for work and get back on my feet.
As my story suggests, things are in the process of stabilizing for me. This is NOT a life or death situation. That being said, every donation to this will make my life significantly smoother and easier. If I reach the goal, I can cover the remainder of the move comfortably, outfit my new place with the basics of life, and be prepared for unforeseen costs/fees/etc incurred during the next few weeks. Anything I receive over said goal will be used for additional furniture and housewares, saved for rent, or used to help pay back my girlfriend's generous loan of the cost of my security deposit and first month's rent.
I'm going to be okay at this point whatever happens, but I'd like to do better than just okay if I can. I am deeply grateful for any help you're willing to give me cushioning this move, setting up my new place, and moving on with my life. Thank you for reading.
