100% of funds will go directly to facilitating the purchase and delivery of personal protective equipment (PPE) and supplies for our frontline healthcare workers, first responders, home health aides, at risk community members, food, safety and delivery workers in Boston and surrounding towns. Examples of these items include masks (both non-medical and medical grade), face shields, gowns, shoe covers, cleaning supplies, etc. The needs of our hospitals and community are rapidly changing and we will work to adjust our donations to meet their needs.
Who We Are
We are the Boston based team for HOPPEunited (https://hoppeunited.com/). This grassroots effort was created by a group of Healthcare and community members in California. United, as a national group, we have been able to expand our reach and access to manufacturers, vendors and DIY groups to generate larger quantities of supplies for the Boston area. While there are many great organizations and our governor all working tirelessly to obtain those desperately needed N95 masks, we are focused on filling in the gaps and providing critical protective equipment based on the direct requests of the front line providers we are serving.
Goal
Our goal is to acquire, distribute, and deliver as many PPE items and supplies in the Boston area with the help of your donations. If we surpass the donation goal, every cent will continue to go back into this effort.
Our Partners
We are working with local and national DIY and 3D printing services who have shifted their focus during this time to create critical supplies. We are also working with contacts in the medical supplies business who are able to source professionally made PPE. They need our support to fund and deliver these goods. Our partners are donating much of their time and/or materials in order to help us make the greatest impact.
Example of how we can put this money to work:
1 reusable mask = $3
5 masks = $15
1 mask, 1 face shield = $12
1 mask, 1 face shield, 1 gown = $25
Are donations tax deductible?
Currently, donations are not tax-deductible. We are working on a partnership to establish a 501(c)(3) for tax deductible donations. Details to follow.
If you have a need for PPE or can donate items, please reach out to us: [email redacted]
