My name is Agnia Krakovska, and I am a dedicated and driven athlete from

Saskatchewan, now living in British Columbia.

moved here with my mother and two siblings in 2015, and I have since channeled my determination into the sport of wrestling.

Currently in Grade 12, I've been competing in wrestling for the past three years, but it was in March 2023 when I joined Coast Wrestling Academy that my journey truly took off.

With unwavering perseverance and the guidance of my coaches at Coast, I have had the privilege of competing in numerous tournaments, achieving success at both the provincial and national levels.

Why Wrestling?

Wrestling chose me because it challenges me in ways few other sports can. It requires not only physical strength but mental toughness. In wrestling, every match is a battle that I face alone.

My decisions, my moves, my success or failure - they are entirely on me. There's no one else to blame. This accountability has made me stronger, more disciplined, and more confident in my abilities. Wrestling is a reflection of strength, resilience, and self-respect— qualities that drive me not only in the sport but in life as well. One of my greatest achievements was earning a bronze medal at the United World Wrestling PanAmerican

Championships (Continentals) in 2024. Competing at the highest level has taught me that failure isn't the end but merely a stepping stone to self-improvement. I believe in the power of perseverance, and I know that with continued hard work, success will follow.

A Rare Opportunity to Represent Canada

From May 28th - 31st, 2025, I will compete for a position on Team Canada's U20 Division, facing off against top university-level athletes. Earlier this season, I became one of the top contenders after defeating two senior national champions at the

SFU International Open—a major accomplishment, especially for a high school athlete in one of the country's toughest senior-level tournaments. Securing a place on Team Canada will give me the chance to represent our country at the U20 Pan-American Championships in Peru (July 10th - 12th, 2025), and the U20 World Championships in Bulgaria (August 18th - 24th, 2025). These events are more than just competitions- they are the culmination of years of hard work, and stepping stones to what I hope will be a lifelong career in sport. In addition, I've been invited to attend two elite international wrestling camps-one in Japan (August 1st - 11th, 2025), and another in Italy (July 26th - August 4th, 2025) - to train with top-tier athletes and further develop my international competitive skills.
