My name is Kevin, and I’m fundraising for my wife, Hope the strongest person I know. Two years ago, everything changed with one phone call.

Hope was on her way to the hospital from work when she called me in fear. By the time I arrived, she had suffered a life-threatening ventricular tachycardia caused by a clot in her heart. Doctors shocked her heart to restore rhythm and rushed her to a larger hospital. We had no idea that this moment would mark the beginning of a fight for her life.

Since that day, Hope has endured three heart attacks, eight heart procedures, and countless hospital stays many at Massachusetts General Hospital. She now has over seven stents in her heart and two in her legs, suffers from heart failure, and lives with a dangerous clot doctors cannot operate on due to the risk of it moving.

She also has a rare condition called vasospasms, causing her arteries to suddenly constrict and restrict blood flow. Hope is only 53 years old, but her heart functions like that of an 80-year-old.

Before all this, she had no health issues. She was the life of the party, a dedicated registered nurse for over 20 years, and someone who lived to care for others. Today, she struggles to walk to the bathroom without becoming completely exhausted.

While fighting for her health, we’ve also been fighting for disability support for over two years with no approval yet, despite clear medical evidence and legal help. The financial strain has become overwhelming. Still, we haven’t lost hope.
