I began this journey because I was deeply touched by those who were different. The universe has brought many autistic and special needs souls into my life, and I could see that we could do a great deal better than how it worked for some. This brought about the idea for Hope's Home Foundation and the means to help fund it through writing a special book called Rainy Day Notes.
It is my fervent prayer that Hope's Home will be a special place where neurodivergent guests can continuously grow and lead fulfilling, appreciated lives. From the petting zoo, to vertical farming with a farmers market, to art and music studios, to inspirational merchandise, there will be ample opportunity for guests to participate in ways that add to the community. It is of utmost importance that they are developing self-worth and belonging. I wrote an inspirational book called Rainy Day Notes to help with the start-up funding, and I plan further book projects—all proceeds will go directly to the foundation. I hope to run all but the residential services on a pay-as-you-can basis, and we will also be contracting for equine therapy.
This fundraising page is to help with some of my beginning expenses. Some I have paid for, like publishing costs and a down-payment for web design. There will be a second website to develop, accounting and legal fees to set up the foundation, as well as costs for a planned Rainy Day Notes application and a PowerPoint presentation. These start-up costs are essential to bring Hope's Home to life.
It is my heartfelt request that you help either with a donation if you are able, or to share your story for the website blog, if you would like, but most of all your prayers for the difference we will make.
