New Guide: Find Your Higher Power

Donation protected
You CAN transform your life with the 12 Steps of Recovery. I know this is true because it has happened to me and thousands of others.

But recovery programs, although and essential part of this process, can either get confusing or not address the particular issue you are dealing with.

That's why I decided to launch this GoFundMe campaign to build something I call "Hope Magnet."

For those of you who don't know me, my name is Mike Mintz, and I’m a recovered alcoholic. I currently do plenty of service work in Alcoholics Anonymous, including sponsoring others, chairing meetings and reaching out to newcomers, for fun and for free.

Hope Magnet is something different.

After many years in AA, I've developed a simple and practical approach to Step Work that gets results. Hope Magnet is designed to deliver this experience to a wider audience and produce similar transformation for any of the problems in your life.

Consisting of premium content including videos lessons,  podcasts, PDF workbooks, inventory and amends templates, as well as live, interactive Q&A teleconferences, Hope Magnet will provide a comprehensive, online experience for living a 12 Step life.

There's a lot of work involved putting something like this together, and that's why I need your help.

YOU Can Make These 12 Step Workshops Happen

Rehabs charge an average of $10,000 per person. Recovery coaches can charge $1000 for online trianing, and premium workshops typically go for $100. I want Hope Magnet to cost people less than the price of two lattes at Starbucks

I don't want to charge potential members a lot of money, because, in many cases, we are dealing with people who need to get well or they will die. Getting this thing built and promoted, however, will take a lot of my professional time.

Your generosity has the potential to subsidize this program for people who really need it, but might not be able to otherwise take it.

The $10,000 Rehab Paradox: 1 in 37 "Make It"

As mentioned above, the average cost of rehab in the United States for ONE person is $10,000. Meanwhile, statistics say that only 1 in 37 or 2.7% of the people who go to rehab achieve sobriety for 1-year or more.

Compare that to the early days of AA, cited in the book Alcoholics Anonymous.  They say that recovery rates for people who came to AA and "really tried" (i.e. worked the steps) were about 1 in 2 or 50%.

Why then are we only seeing 1 in 37 making it today? Shouldn't we being seeing better results today with expensive rehabs and more meetings?

We Can Do Better: Hope Magnet Gives You a Step Experience to Pass On to Others

Hope Magnet has the power to reach thousands of people at launch with a practical, proven approach to the 12 Steps that works.

I started this whole thing because I love my life today. It's not perfect, and I'm certainly not perfect (just ask my wife how sober I am today!). But these workshops offer a real chance to transform your life and the lives of others. And I LOVE helping people have their own experience with the steps, simplifying the process and making it meaningful (I hope you see that in my video).

This GoFundMe campaign is my attempt to raise money so we can drop the price of these workshops to a level that anyone can afford. No one should be denied the chance to change or struggle with the simple, spiritual tool kit found in AA or other recovery programs.

Sometimes all it takes is a good "tour guide" to show you the path that maybe you didn't see before. I would be grateful for the opportunity to launch Hope Magnet with your help and offer affordable, effective and engaging 12 Step workshops to all who want to live this amazing life.

Thank you,
Mike Mintz
