Last year my now 7 year old daughter Uriah was diagnosed with ESRD (end stage renal disease) caused by renal hypoplasia. It was quite a shock because for six months she was being treated for anemia before this devastating diagnosis. It has been a little over a year now and dialysis is slowly but surely taking a toll on her little 40 pound body. One of the major affects of the ESRD is high blood pressure which has caused the thickening of her heart muscle. To make a long story short; I have recently discovered something that could possibly help to reverse her condition....non embrionic stem cells. There is no guarantee that this procedure will do what we want it to but it is the last hope for my little girl. The only other alternative is a kidney transplant which will be our last and final option. I only want to make sure that i have tried everything possible with the exception of causing any further harm by doing this non invasive procedure. Once her kidneys are gone there is no turning back and i dont know what else to do. I am reaching out to friends and family and whomever may be listening to please help us to try and save my daughter from a life long commitment that she is yet to understand.
