Meet Tina Herr, the newest pink warrior princess who is currently up against her second battle with cancer. Not only is she surviving but she is thriving! The fight against breast cancer is on!! Tina is a fun spirited loving wife to her husband Bob, a great mother of 4 beautiful
children (Brock, Karissa, Lance, and Clay) and devoted grandmother of 6.  She has been employed with Braun Industries for over 21 years.
In November 2010, following a mammogram Tina
received the unfortunate news of lobular carcinoma, an invasive type of breast cancer.  The roller coaster of treatment was just to begin and around the holidays, but Tina's spirit stayed strong. She faced a mastectomy and several rounds of chemo. Soon her hair was fading quickly, she began to feel weak and fatigued from the chemotherapy. Upon taking a medical leave of absence she decided to withdraw her 401k to pay for her outstanding medical expenses she had occurred in such a short amount of time.  From 2010 to November 2014, Tina maintained her good health and was in remission while taking a daily medication. At a checkup in November 2014, her levels were high and a ct scan revealed her cancer had spread.  She was soon faced reliving the same nightmare she had four years ago exactly. The cancer had metastasized to her spine. Her and her doctor discussed her treatment options, she decided to go with an injection that would help slow the growth of the cancer. It was working for a few weeks, when her levels spiked again and they decided to go more aggressive with treatment.

This February Tina began chemotherapy.  She goes every Thursday for a few hours and gets one week off for her body to rest. She's currently doing well with treatments, but the financial hardship has once again set in with the medical bills adding up.
Therefore, her family has come together in asking for any monetary donations for her medical copays, medication, travel expenses, etc.  We wanted to have a benefit, but realize people have busy schedules and generally just love to help in any way possible. So we decided to try this via social media!! Please feel free to share Tina's story, raise awareness for breast cancer, share hope, and give to a great cause!! If you would like to mail a check or money please mail it to : C/O Tina Herr P.O. Box 54 Continental, Oh 45831. Courage doesn't always roar, sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow :)
