I am writing to you today with a heavy heart and a humble plea for assistance. My name is Priyanka, and I find myself in a situation where I desperately need your help and support. As an international student, I am currently facing immense challenges that threaten my education, well-being, and future.

Life has not been easy for me. Growing up in India, my parents, who come from a disadvantaged background, have always prioritized my education. They made tremendous sacrifices and even remortgaged our house to give me the opportunity to study abroad. Their unwavering belief in the power of education and determination to provide me with a better life has been the driving force behind my dreams.

However, the journey hasn't been without its share of hardships. I have faced unimaginable challenges, including homelessness and the devastating experience of sexual assault at my previous rental. These experiences have left me shaken, but they have also fueled my determination to fight for justice and create safe and fair work environments for all.

Despite the pain and adversity I have faced, I refuse to let it define me. At just 18 years old, I have been featured in an SBS article, where I had the opportunity to act as an advocate and beacon of hope for women like myself. I want to use my voice and my experiences to bring about positive change, not just for me but for others who may find themselves in similar circumstances.

But now, I find myself at a crossroads. The financial burden of my education has become overwhelming. With the strain on my family's resources and their home already remortgaged, going back to India is not a viable option for me. Returning home would mean displacement and leaving behind the opportunities that I have fought so hard to secure.
