Kali's Story
As some of you may know Kali has been severely struggling with a number of chronic illnesses that have deeply impacted her quality of life, leaving her predominantly bed bound fighting to get through each day.

It took her 15 years after experiencing initial symptoms of endometriosis to receive a diagnosis for the condition and because it had been left undiagnosed for so long, it has progressed to stage 4 causing daily excruciating pain and debilitating symptoms. Having stage 4 endometriosis, alongside other chronic health conditions makes everything far more complex and feels like a never ending cycle.

Battling this day in and day out has taken a huge toll on her physically, emotionally, mentally and financially. It has impacted every part of her life in ways that are hard to articulate and continues to do so every single day. Her mum and closest friends have witnessed just how much this has affected her and how it has consumed so much of her world.

For a long time Kali has tried to hide how much she had been suffering and how unwell she really is. A part of her still feels extremely anxious about sharing the full extent of everything, and she doesn’t feel comfortable going into every detail as it has all been, and still is, very traumatic.

She has experienced ongoing medical gaslighting, negligence, misdiagnosis and mistreatment as well as judgment and misunderstanding from others. Unfortunately, this is often part of living with chronic illness and has contributed to her hesitation in reaching out for help.

With the encouragement of her loved ones, this GoFundMe has been set up to help her access private medical care, in the hope of finally getting the ongoing treatment she needs to find some relief and improve her quality of life.

Understanding Endometriosis
Endometriosis and adenomyosis are chronic, incurable conditions that can cause severe pain, inflammation, organ dysfunction and a wide range of debilitating symptoms. Despite affecting millions worldwide, they remain widely misunderstood and underfunded.

In the UK, it takes on average 7–10 years to receive a diagnosis because these conditions are often not properly recognised or understood, leaving many people dismissed or misdiagnosed for years.

Endometriosis is a full body condition where tissue similar (but not identical) to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus, affecting organs such as the ovaries, bowel, bladder and in some cases, beyond. It can lead to severe pain, inflammation and complications throughout the body.

Current NHS treatment options are limited and may include:

  • Birth control (which may suppress symptoms but does not treat the disease)
  • Ablation surgery (which only treats the surface of lesions)
  • Hysterectomy (which is not a cure for endometriosis)

Adenomyosis affects the uterus specifically, where tissue grows into the muscular wall, causing intense pain, heavy bleeding and other debilitating symptoms.

Why We Are Fundraising
Kali urgently needs private medical care, as current NHS options are extremely limited for the complexity of her conditions. Her goal is to take an integrative approach, combining conventional medicine with supportive therapies, to create the best possible treatment plan for her body.

This fundraiser will help cover ongoing costs such as:

  • Extensive testing
  • Specialist appointments
  • Medications and supplements
  • Treatments
  • Surgeries
  • Supportive therapies

Chronic illness is unpredictable and often requires trial and error, Kali is doing everything she can to find the right care and give herself the best possible chance at improvement. Because her health has deteriorated over years, any progress will take time, consistency and ongoing support.

A Note on Her Approach
We have spent a significant amount of time researching, consulting specialists and reflecting on what feels right for her. She is simply trying to give herself the best possible chance at recovery and asks that her choices are met with understanding and compassion.

How You Can Help
Any support makes a difference, no matter how small. Whether it’s donating, sharing, or helping spread awareness, it all means more than words can express.

Keeping You Updated
Updates will be shared when possible. As her health is unpredictable, your patience and understanding are truly appreciated.

Thank You
If you’ve taken the time to read Kali's story, support her, share this or donate in any way, even £1, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We understand that it can feel difficult to contribute to something that seems uncertain but this gives her a real solid chance at relief, improvement and a better quality of life. Right now, this support means everything.

Without this I know she honestly feels like she has nothing left to fight for. This is her lifeline and we are praying that she can get the support she so desperately needs and deserves.

Thank you for reading, for being here, for supporting her and for giving her a chance to get her life back. You are quite literally helping to save her life. ❤️
