Hope Stringer

To my pals, far and near, my friends Steve Pearce, Dominic Elliot, Rob Smith, Tom Ringrose and I will be walking 50 miles from London to Brighton on Friday 10th November to raise money for a remarkable young friend who has relentlessly been fighting cancer for the last nine years. She has raised awareness, helped others through fundraising and blogging her daily experiences in an open, visceral and painfully heartfelt diary whilst personally battling round after round of operations and illness, whilst being subjected to earth shattering, undeserved and unwelcome results. There is far too much information to set out here but I will add more shortly. On this occasion, the money raised will be going directly to Hope to allow her to continue her fight against this fucking awful disease. She is a light in all our lives and I cannot think of anyone who could have fought this battle more valiantly. She truly is a remarkable young woman and deserves to win the war, or have won it long before now. Never have I witnessed a tougher person, nor am I likely to ever do so.
