My name is Jason, and this is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write. For years, I’ve struggled with substance abuse. It took hospitalization this past week to see the damages I’ve created. It has taken nearly everything from me—my stability, my home, and most painfully, my children. I’m now on the verge of homelessness, and every day is a battle not to fall back into old habits.
But I refuse to give up.
I’ve made a commitment to myself and to the people I love: I will not relapse. I want to get healthy, rebuild my life, and one day be in a position to help others who are fighting the same battles I’ve faced.
Right now, though, I need help to survive. I’m doing everything I can, but without some immediate financial support, I’ll end up on the streets. Your support will go directly toward essentials like food, shelter, and transportation while I work on getting back on my feet and continuing my recovery journey. I will be donating 5% of raised donations to an organization called SAFE Project. National - Overdose Prevention and Education
Even $20 makes a real difference—it means one more night with a roof over my head, one more day closer to stability, and one more step toward being the father and friend I want to be.
I believe my story doesn’t have to end in loss. It can be one of redemption, healing, and hope. If you’re able to give, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this with others who might be able to help.
Recovery is possible. I’m living proof that even in the darkest moments, there’s still light. Thank you for being part of my fight for a second chance.
