Hope Presbyterian Church Vandalism Repairs

Tax deductible
Hope Presbyterian Church in Wheaton, Illinois was vandalized twice this month. Both incidents involved the destruction of property and Black Lives Matter signs.

The first signs were placed in the church lawn after George Floyd's murder in May. Those signs were stolen and destroyed in August. After the Jacob Blake shootings, new signs were made and placed in the church lawn in solidarity.  Those signs were destroyed a week later and the church's permanent welcome sign (displaying a LGBTQ sign) was also set on fire.

For 30 years, Hope Presbyterian Wheaton has shared a ministry with the African American church, Hope Presbyterian Chicago, located in Englewood. Also, Hope Wheaton has shared it's sanctuary with the African American church, Bethel New Life, for the past 5 years.

Hope Presbyterian Church would like to replace it's signs and also install surveillance cameras. Please consider helping our small church with a donation as we  continue to support and witness black dignity in our community and beyond.

Gratefully,
The members of Hope Presbyterian Church of Wheaton
