It’s hard to believe it has been six months since Hurricane Michael has devastated our area. We look around and are proud and grateful for what we have been able to accomplish in those six months thanks to our amazing volunteers and donors. The truth is though we’ve only begun to touch the surface and there are still many many more to help. Please click this link to watch a portion of what we are able to accomplish for our HOPE families thanks to your support and continue to share our campaign and spread the need for help and HOPE along our beautiful Panhandle.
HOPE Panhandle, Inc., a nonprofit organization with recognized tax-exempt status, was formed by community leaders and local business people in the aftermath of the storm in order to respond to widespread area needs. Thank you to GoFundMe for partnering with us on this emergency effort! They have offered us a 0% platform fee allowing for your money to go to those that need it most.
Upon seeing the devastation left behind by Hurricane Michael, we immediately organized and assembled a group of dedicated volunteers to help offer hurricane relief to the residents of the ravaged Florida Panhandle. Together we are serving the underserved who have lost so much and are in desperate need of loving support. Following relief efforts, HOPE Panhandle, Inc. established a bustling Community effort in rebuild. We have currently mucked/gutted/mold-remediated 90 homes and are rebuilding 5 whose owners are set to move “back home” in the months of April and May.
Your generous donations will go toward these efforts by providing essential items needed for rebuild—roofing, HVAC repair, plumbing needs, electrical oversight as well as building materials like sheetrock, flooring, and paint. We are making a tremendous impact in the lives of so many beautiful families who have lost so much. The immediate, strategic focus is toward Rebuilding and Revitalization.
If you love the beautiful Florida Panhandle and you want to make a difference, join the HOPE Panhandle Effort today. Every penny donated can make a tremendous impact and send a message of HOPE in helping to rebuild even stronger communities across the Panhandle.
