Hope of Life (Esperanza de Vida)

Hi, my name is Kristy Maccone and I am 43 years old. I have grade IV brain cancer and after a year of surgeries, chemo and radiation the time has come to seek alternative treatment. God has given me a new hope. I have found a clinic in Texas that offers traditional and non traditional treatment.

I have been blessed with a beautiful family - my husband David Perez and my two boys who are my reason for living, David (14) and Matthew (11). At the end of March 2022 I was diagnosed with grade IV brain tumor. On April 4th I had my first surgery to remove the tumor followed by radiation and chemotherapy. Seven months later at the end of November I received the bad news that the MRI revealed the tumor had grown back.

Once again without hesitation I had a second surgery on November 2022 which proved to be a success as my surgeon was able to remove all of the tumor. My chemotherapy was changed and I took the first dose on December 23rd.

Sadly on January 27th, only two months after my second surgery, the MRI revealed that once again the cancer cells are active. The standard treatments have not worked for me but nothing can shake my ardent faith in God nor dampen my will to live and my need to raise and love my boys.

We learned of this clinic in Texas that will identify the genetic makeup of the cells of my specific tumor and design a treatment that focuses on eliminating the “cause” of the cancer. This is called “ targeted therapy”. In addition to that they have a treatment discovered by its founder and exclusive to the Clinic.

My insurance does not cover the high monthly cost of this treatment and we have already spent so much of our savings on hospitals, hotels, medicine and help for the care of my boys.

So this is my story and the reason why I have turned to this platform to reach as many people as possible to help me with this treatment.
