Too many animals are left hopeless, dumped, and struggling to survive. This sweet girl was one of them—but you can help change her story.

When a young, fragile dog is placed among much larger dogs in an overcrowded municipal shelter, she isn’t protected.

She isn’t comforted.

She is targeted.

Across many municipal shelters in Turkey, dogs are confined to overcrowded, unsafe conditions where fear is constant and fights are common. For small, gentle dogs who cannot defend themselves, survival is never guaranteed.

This was her reality.

Just one week ago, this tiny girl was collected from the streets. Instead of finding safety, she was attacked repeatedly.

Another attack would have taken her life.

She was rescued just in time by Paws and Hope.

Paws and Hope is a small, dedicated rescue working in some of the harshest conditions imaginable. They step in where others cannot—helping dogs and cats facing extreme cruelty, neglect, and abandonment, often with little to no resources. With no institutional funding and minimal financial support, they rely entirely on compassion, perseverance, and the generosity of people who believe every life deserves a chance.

They work tirelessly to save:

• the injured

• the vulnerable

• the forgotten

And alongside every rescue, they carry the heartbreaking weight of the many animals they cannot reach in time.

Because of their determination, this little girl survived.

Today, she is safe at a veterinary clinic. She is in pain and recovering from a deep wound to her neck, requiring life-saving medical care, ongoing treatment, and time to heal. Her recovery will not be quick—but she is finally safe, protected, and no longer alone.

For the first time in her life, she has something she has never known before:
