Hope, Love, and a Little Science: Help Us Become Parents

Help Us Start Our Family Despite Health Challenges
Kids are expensive—but for couples facing infertility, the journey to parenthood comes with emotional, physical, and overwhelming financial hurdles.

My husband, Jason, and I have always dreamed of having a family. However, life has thrown us some unimaginable health challenges that have made conceiving naturally nearly impossible.

Our Story: A Battle Against Health Complications
A few years ago, Jason was diagnosed with a brain tumor pressing against his pituitary gland, disrupting his hormone balance and causing a chain reaction of other serious health issues, including pneumonia, a leaking spleen, and swollen lymph nodes. Thankfully, after his tumor was removed, his body slowly began to recover.

Shortly after, we faced another devastating diagnosis—I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis. Every month, I endured excruciating pain that left me bedridden, unsure how much longer I could handle it. After multiple doctors, tests, and treatments, we finally had an answer, but it came with heartbreaking news: my condition could severely impact our chances of conceiving.

Our doctor advised us that if we didn’t conceive within six months after my treatment, the endometriosis could return, making pregnancy even more difficult. We clung to hope, but despite our best efforts, we have yet to conceive naturally.

Our Next Steps: Artificial Insemination and IVF
After consulting with fertility specialists, we were presented with two medical options:

Artificial insemination (Intrauterine Insemination - IUI), a process where sperm is placed directly into the uterus to increase the chances of fertilization. We will undergo three rounds of IUI, but if unsuccessful, we will need to move on to IVF.
In vitro fertilization (IVF), a much more complex and expensive procedure where eggs are retrieved, fertilized outside the body in a lab, and then transferred back into the uterus. IVF offers a higher success rate, but it comes at a significant financial cost.

Why We Need Your Help
Infertility treatments are rarely covered by insurance, and the costs add up quickly. Each round of IUI costs thousands of dollars, and if we need to move to IVF, a single cycle can cost $15,000 or more, not including medications, testing, and follow-up procedures.

We are humbly asking for any support to help us make our dream of becoming parents a reality. Your donation—no matter how big or small—will go directly toward fertility treatments, medications, and medical expenses.

If you can’t donate, we would deeply appreciate it if you could share our story and help spread awareness about infertility struggles.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read our story, for your prayers, encouragement, and any support you can offer.

With love and gratitude,
Kimberly & Jason
