1. Who I am
My name is Hadassah Jordan, and I’m a member of the Australian Jewish community deeply moved by the strength and story of Rachel Edri.
2. Where I’m from
I live in Melbourne, Australia, and like many of us with loved ones in Israel, I’ve been seeking a tangible way to help those directly impacted by the events of October 7th.
3. Who we are supporting
We are raising funds for Rachel Edri, a brave woman from Ofakim, Israel, who was taken hostage in her own home by Hamas terrorists on October 7th. She was held for 20 terrifying hours, showing remarkable courage and presence of mind during her captivity. Rachel’s story became known around the world as a symbol of resilience.
What is less known is that her home was destroyed during the rescue operation—and that home was not just a house. It was the place she shared with her husband David, who has sadly passed away since. Rachel is now without her home and in need of support to rebuild her life.
4. How the funds will be used and delivered
Funds raised will go directly towards rebuilding Rachel’s home: restoring the structure, replacing essential furnishings, and helping her return to a space that offers comfort, safety, and dignity.
We are working closely with trusted contacts in Israel who are in direct communication with Rachel and her family. Every dollar raised will be transferred securely and directly through personal, verified channels to ensure that your contribution goes exactly where it is needed most.
This is a chance to give Rachel more than just our admiration—we can help her come home.
