Hi, I'm Aarion, proud sister and aunt to Gentry—a six-year-old warrior with half a heart and a whole lot of fight. We're raising funds for his most critical surgery yet.

Gentry was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome—a rare congenital heart defect where the left side of his heart is underdeveloped. In his short life, he's already endured three open-heart surgeries. He's braved the Norwood and Glenn procedures, and most recently, Dr. Fraser in Austin, TX, attempted to repair his left pulmonary artery. Although that repair wasn't successful, Angel remains deeply grateful for the skill, care, and kindness of everyone who's helped her son along the way.

Today, Gentry's journey continues, and it's one that calls on all of us who believe in the power of community, faith, and love. His left pulmonary artery is completely blocked, cutting off blood flow to his left lung. Without restoring that flow, he cannot move forward with the next life-saving steps—the Fontan procedure or a future heart transplant. In simple terms, this blockage stands between Gentry and the future he deserves.

But there is hope.

A caring medical team in California, led by Dr. Bishnoi, has offered a way forward—a procedure to place a shunt that could reopen the artery and restore blood flow.

To make this happen, Gentry and his family must travel across the country for care. Angel is a single mom doing everything she can to keep her son's heart beating strong. She's deeply grateful to live with her supportive parents, but the costs of travel, lodging, time off work, and ongoing medical care are more than one family can carry alone.
