Hope, Healing, Prayers

Joshie, as we affectionately call him, was hospitalized for a routine surgery after falling during a seizure and breaking his arm. The December 21st surgery went as planned. During recovery, though, he aspirated and developed pneumonia which led to a staff infection in his lungs and eventually a collapsed lung. With his parents steadfast by his side, he has been battling through multiple surgeries to clear the lung, been on and off life support and is fighting to recover. 

It has been determined that his epiglottis is not functioning properly. Because of this he will be getting a feeding tube and a tracheotomy. He will also require equipment to maintain these devices.  We're hopeful that he will be released from the hospital soon and get back to normal life, healthy and strong.

While we have been doing our best to provide emotional support, we now feel it's time to try to provide some financial as well. Of course hospital bills are mounting and missing work is a devastating blow to anyone's bank account. Those of you that know Jodie, also know that she is caring and giving.  Though she does not have much, she will give at the cost of herself.  She loves with her whole body and is a loyal and fierce friend.  Please find it in your heart to help us provide a little bit of relief for her family after such a devastating turn of events.
