In March of 2023, my husband Jamie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal cancer. During the past two years, Jamie has faced every challenge in this difficult journey with unwavering optimism. Jamie has undergone 37 chemotherapy treatments and although he initially had some positive results, he still has a long way to go in his fight against cancer. Jamie's treatments have taken a physical toll and despite working part-time for the last two years, Jamie has made the difficult decision to not continue working in an effort to help his body to recover.

Jamie will eventually receive EI sick benefits but first he is required to wait for a period of time. We are reaching out to our friends and family for some financial support during this waiting period. $10, $20 or $30 from each of you will help reduce the financial and emotional stress in our household during the next little while.

Jamie's goal during his continuing chemotherapy treatments is to reduce his tumors to a small enough size so that they can be surgically removed. His hope, resolve and sense of humor are an inspiration for all of us who know him well.
