It is with great sadness that we share that Paula passed away on Thursday, May 29th due to the injuries she sustained in the house fire. She fought with incredible strength, and we are heartbroken by this loss.
We want to thank everyone who has supported the Jackson family during this difficult time—your donations, prayers, and messages have meant more than words can say.
Funds from this campaign will now go toward Paula’s funeral expenses and helping her family as they grieve and begin to rebuild their lives.
Thank you again for your continued love and support.
------------
On Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, tragedy struck the Jackson family when a fire broke out at their home in Batchtown, IL. Paula Benoist Jackson was inside during the fire and suffered devastating injuries. She was life-flighted to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, where she is now in the ICU. She is stable for now, but this is just the beginning to a long and difficult journey to recovery.
Unfortunately, the loss doesn't stop there. In addition to the injuries Paula sustained, the family lost their home and three of their beloved dogs in the fire. Three other dogs managed to escape, but they, too, are suffering from injuries and require immediate medical treatment.
This GoFundMe campaign is being created to support the Jackson family through this incredibly difficult time. The financial burden ahead is heavy, and we hope to alleviate some of the stress they are facing. The costs of Paula’s life flight, ICU stay, and future medical needs—including multiple surgeries and extensive treatment—will quickly add up. Furthermore, Paula will be unable to work as she recovers, making it even harder to manage these expenses.
Paula has always been known for her deep love and care for her dogs, making them true members of the family. Now, it’s our turn to offer her that same love and support during this incredibly challenging time.
We’re asking for your support, whether through a donation, a share, or just keeping Paula and the Jackson family in your thoughts and prayers. Every little bit helps, and no donation is too small.
Together, we can help Paula and her family heal and rebuild after this heartbreaking event. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
